What is Human Growth Hormone?
The Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is often referred to as the mother of all hormones. It has the ability to stimulate growth, cell reproduction and regeneration in humans. Our pituitary gland secretes large amounts of HGH when we are young to help us grow. You may have noticed that when you were younger you heal faster, recover from exercise quickly and don’t get as many aches and pains.
Research has shown that our natural HGH production decreases significantly as we age. This decline in HGH can contribute to many signs of aging including wrinkles, weight gain, muscle loss, body aches, trouble sleeping, weak bones, decreased energy and mood changes.
What is Growth Hormone Peptide Therapy?
Growth hormone peptide therapy uses a bioidentical synthetic hormone called Sermorelin Acetate to stimulate secretion of your body’s natural Human Growth Hormone (HGH) production. Sermorelin is combined with two powerful growth hormone releasing hexapeptides called GHRP-6 and GHRP-2 to further enhance production of HGH.
How Does Growth Hormone Peptide Therapy Work?
Sermorelin is a chain of the first 29 amino acids that make up the Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH). GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 are known as GH secretagogues. What does that mean? That means this potent combination of peptides stimulate your hypothalamus to secrete higher amounts of GHRH. The additional GHRH will then stimulate your pituitary gland to increase production of HGH naturally. It has been shown that human growth hormone levels can now be returned to a more youthful state.
Is Growth Hormone Peptide Therapy Right For You?
HGH production is at its peak around the age of twenty, but then production declines about 14% every ten years. Each year after 30, we decline 1-2%. That may not sound like much, but by the time a decade of decline has occurred, the human body only produces about 40% of what it originally was producing during our peak years. We will perform a blood test to assess whether your levels fall into the proper range, and you will also meet with our physician to assess your symptoms before determining if you are a candidate. It is important to assess your health in its entirety instead of just looking at a number on a report. We will also confirm there are no potential contraindications that would preclude you from being eligible.
What Type of Results Should You Expect?
Human Growth Hormone benefits the body in a variety of ways. Think back to your younger years and how aging may have changed certain aspects of your body. Here’s how youthful levels of HGH can benefit you:
- Increased Lipolysis (Fat Burning)
- Enhanced Muscle Mass & Tone
- Increased Energy Levels
- Enhanced Sexual Performance
- Increased Sexual Drive (Libido)
- Less Pain in Muscles & Joints
- Improved Sleep Quality
- Stronger & Denser Bones
- Faster Wound Healing
- Strengthen Immune System
- Improved Eyesight & Vision
- Reduced Stress & Anxiety
- Younger, Tighter Skin, Less Wrinkles
- Enhanced Cognitive Function & Memory
- Improved Mood & Sense of Well Being
- Reduced Cellulite
- Decreased Body Fat
- Re-Grow & Thicken Hair
- Re-Grow Organs That Shrink With Age
- Enhanced Exercise Performance
- Lower Blood Pressure
- Improved Cholesterol Profile
- Reduced Risk of Heart Disease
- Reduced Risk of Stroke
Sermorelin and improved HGH levels have also been shown to help alleviate the conditions of those suffering from HIV, AIDS and short bowel syndrome. Our patients who use growth hormone peptide therapy in conjunction with testosterone replacement therapy have experienced incredible results.
Is Sermorelin Superior to Growth Hormone Replacement Therapy (GHRT)?
Yes, for the majority of men and women. All of us will be faced with a Human Growth Hormone (HGH) deficiency as we age. For those who are declining naturally, Sermorelin combined with GHRP-2 & GHRP-6provides a superior solution to boost your HGH production. This combination is extremely effective and is also a far safer option, because it is almost impossible to overdose on it.
Sermorelin also has the advantage that it will continue to keep your levels elevated after you have taken your last injection. Growth hormone replacement therapy (GHRT) does not have that benefit. Your HGH levels will drop once you stop GH replacement treatment.
On the other hand, if you have a severe HGH deficiency, Growth Hormone Replacement Therapy (GHRT) may be right for you. Growth hormone replacement therapy uses recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) as a synthetic exogenous hormone to supplement your existing HGH and elevate your body’s HGH levels. In simple terms, you are injecting synthetic HGH to mix with the HGH you have naturally existing in your body. This type of therapy does not stimulate your natural production like Sermorelin. Proper dosing for this therapy is critical to avoid an overdose and serious complications. This type of therapy is more expensive, has more risks and does not provide the long-term benefits of Sermorelin. There are also studies that show that HGH or Growth Hormone Replacement Therapy (GHRT) may decrease your total lifespan. That is quite the opposite of what most people are seeking from this treatment. Studies show that having optimized endogenous growth hormone, like the natural growth hormone induced by Sermorelin, is much better for longevity than having HGH levels artificially elevated far above physiological range for a long period of time.
How Do You Know if Sermorelin is Working?
It is important to understand that most people do not feel any type of physical sensation from taking Sermorelin. The best way to measure if growth hormone peptide therapy is working is to perform a blood analysis. We will assess your IGF-1 levels prior to treatment and continue to monitor them throughout your treatment period. Tracking your physical appearance through photos and measurements can also be effective. Most patients experience increased muscle tone, a leaner physique and better skin tone. It may take 3-6 months for your body to adjust to the treatment and experience the full benefits. You may notice when combined with GHRP-2 & GHRP-6 that you experience more hunger and your quality of sleep is greatly improved.
How Long Should You Take Sermorelin?
Growth hormone peptide treatment (Sermorelin, GHRP-2, GHRP-6) is not a lifelong treatment. Optimized HGH levels can be sustained for a long period of time after you finish treatment. During your treatment period, you must take the medication each night right before you go to sleep. Natural growth hormone is secreted primarily at night while we are asleep, so the goal is to enhance production during this peak time. Once Sermorelin has sustained your optimal GH levels, the frequency of your injections can be decreased and eventually stopped. After you have reached your optimal levels, you are able to switch over to a maintenance program and reduce your overall cost of treatment.
How do I take Sermorelin?
Sermorelin is injected into the body fat using a very small needle, similar to what some diabetics use to inject insulin. We recommend for most people to inject into the fat around the abdomen area. It has been proven to have the highest absorbency and therefore the best results. When using the proper technique, there should be little to no pain at all. It is important to take growth hormone peptide on an empty stomach for the highest efficacy. We recommend two hours after eating is best and right before bed. Sermorelin promotes better sleep, so it can make you tired if taken during the day. Please contact our medical staff if you have any questions about administration of Sermorelin or Sermorelin Forte.
