Answers to Your Testosterone Therapy Questions

If you’re getting ready to start testosterone therapy or believe you’re a candidate with low T, we’ve put together a list of the most commonly asked questions about treatment and provided the answers you need to take the next step with Rebuilding Life.

How does Rebuilding Life diagnose low testosterone?

At your first appointment, our medical professionals will take a sample of your blood and run panels to determine your testosterone levels. If your stats are not within the normal range, you may be a candidate for testosterone therapy at Rebuilding Life. During your consultation, we will also get to know your lifestyle, symptoms and goals to create a holistic plan for treatment that includes a nutrition program.

How much does testosterone replacement therapy cost?

The following are the costs associated with testosterone therapy at Rebuilding Life:

  • Initial evaluation including comprehensive laboratory testing, and clinical assessment consultation: $500.00
  • 3-month laboratory review after initial consultation: $250.00
  • Bi-annual comprehensive evaluation laboratory and clinical assessment: $400.00

Costs of medication will vary depending on your individual treatment plan. At this time, we do not accept or bill for any insurance. For more information on pricing, download our new patient packet.

How long do testosterone therapy appointments take?

Your initial consultation at Rebuilding Life may range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your needs. Necessary blood work and testing is processed as quick as possible, so you can get back to the life you love. Once we’ve designed a testosterone therapy plan, each subsequent visit to receive your testosterone injections takes only 10-15 minutes.

Are there different types of testosterone injections? What type does Rebuilding Life use?

The main difference between types of testosterone injections is their absorption rate, known as the half-life. Here is a quick breakdown of the available injections, and the kind of treatment we use at Rebuilding Life.

Testosterone Cypionate

Testosterone cypionate injections are typically made using testosterone combined with cottonseed oil. With a half-life of approximately eight to ten days, these injections are ideal for men who want a low maintenance option for their testosterone replacement therapy.

Testosterone Propionate

Testosterone propionate injections act much faster, with a half-life of about four days. This type of injection can be a good choice for men who want to feel the effects of testosterone therapy right away, however you might need a booster sooner. Both propionate and cypionate injections offer the same health benefits.

Rebuilding Life Injections

At Rebuilding Life, you get the best of both worlds. We blend cypionate and propionate testosterone injections to provide you fast-acting and long-lasting treatment. You’ll feel the effects of your injection quickly thanks to the propionate, with the cypionate maintaining your testosterone levels until your next appointment.
